Merry Christmas

Post by Sandydragon »

All right you lot, forget about Trump, Brexit and all the other political and environmental disasters of the day and enjoy a day of over eating, excessive alcohol and time with/getting rid of family.

Merry Christmas everyone.

I feel like crap, was up until after 1 parboiling parsnips and potatoes and getting stuffings and turkey as ready as possible. It's possible things would have gone quicker with a reduced alcohol intake, and right now it's a struggle to be enthused by the smoked salmon and champagne, but it's got to be done, and a very Merry Christmas to all

My three year old woke us up at 5.

However, Christmas dinner procured from Marks and Sparks so everything is prepared for us. Just need to slam into oven.

Lol, kids went to bed at midnight last night so this morning I was first up at 8 to start the stuffing and veg.

First time I got timings perfect, pud is steaming now, wine is flowing.

Merry Christmas all.

I can see there being little Christmas aftershocks over the next week or two as delayed Amazon gifts finally materialise.

I'm not entirely sure yet, but I think I feel like shit, and also in need of a giant sh....

I don't deal too badly with hangovers, but this much food, and this much rich food is an unusual hit to take. I was up an hour this morning before feeling I was able to take on a small bowl of muesli and a cup of tea

Pretty sure all I need is some sleep, some plain food, and no booze, pretty sure none of that will happen, sometimes you just have to take one for the team

I`ve always found beating the odd fox or two to death a refreshing start to such a day..
Seems to be catching on..

If we're doing this traditionally I'm going to fall off the horse if it clears any jump above about a foot.

Lol.

Had my third plate of Christmas dinner today. No more pigs in blankets, but it was still great!

Running out of booze, though. All the gin is gone, all the red wine...

Need to make a trip to get some gin and other drinks, I want to keep drinking!

Got a cocktail set for Christmas but with the alcohol shortages, I can only really make whisky sour or daiquiri!

I’m allowing my liver a brief respite before the new year. Crazily busy Christmas but that’s the joy of having a three year old apparently.

Eaten way too much and drank even more. The idea of eating celery and other green shit is suddenly appealing.
