And a multitude of Fijian soldiers are saying that no-one told them about this; it was just implied that they would be able to stay without problem?

This government. Smdh. He'll probably be okay because he's got famous sons, but I wonder how many Fijian servicemen (who were deliberately recruited by the army, presumably cause they are happier with the wage than the average Brit) will be given short shrift by the hostile environment.
