RIP Willie Thorne

Post by Galfon »

Great young talent I recall who could never quite bring it to gain success at the table in the biggest tournaments.Good tv commentator too.
Covid not attributed, but still a sad way to pass.
Sure there's room for a bit of loopiness and a flutter or two in the beyond.

I once watched him doing a demonstration between sessions and it was about break building, he broke off and then proceeded to pot a long red and go on to make a 147, magic.

Known as one of the most talented players in practice, and good company too. Didn't perhaps achieve all he wanted as a player but came across as comfortable with that and still in love with the game.
