SUPER RUGBY AU and AOTEOROA

Post by Doorzetbornandbred »

Dont know how many on here watch it regularly but iSuper Rugby kicks off in Oz this Friday and in NZ the following week. At the moment there is no broadcaster in the UK signed up to it. Anyone have a decent stream for watching these games thats safe? Ta muchly in advance for any advice.

That's strange that there's no broadcaster yet. SR Aoteoroa was great last year.

Yep. I’d just assumed it was on Sky, as last year. SR Aotearoa and England (and Wales) test cricket were my saviours during the first lockdown/social distancing etc
Sky are the title sponsor.....surely they’ll be screening it over here.

If they don't get a broadcaster they'd be nuts not to simply stream it on their on web page or on a significant carrier

I'm amazed Amazon haven't picked it up. They seem happy to acquire these kind of events at the minute. There is always Tennis on Prime for some reason.

If Sky are trying to save a bit of cash it makes sense for them to cut this coverage as the NZ and Australia games aren't on at usual sport watching times.

STAN are covering the Rugby downunder(Super Rugby, Mitre 10, Currie Cup, Shute Shield, Tests) done some digging and you can get it for $10 Aussie a month its a streaming service, unfortunately not in the UK. Someone has told me to buy a VPN and do it that way. Anyone have any experience of doing such a thing?

On rugbypass

Really the only value is in the season pass at £35
£7 for 2 games a week is horrible value.

I think I'll stick to Stan now Ive signed up, good coverage, get the Aoteoroa comp along with Japan top league. Back catalogue of classic matches and Super Rugby back to 2009 as well. Tuesday Rugby Heaven show is pretty good as well.

I actually watched a little of the Japanese Top League last week and will try to catch some more. I might have been lucky but kinda looked like both teams were trying to play like Japan at the 2019 world cup

It would appear they want to play rather than go through the motions it seems.
