Re: Dean Ryan on his way out?
Dragons RFC have made the bold move of sacking director of rugby Dean Ryan just one game into the new season – RugbyPass understands.
The decision comes after Ryan publically berated the players after their 44-6 loss to Edinburgh at DAM Stadium in their opening game of the URC season.
Dragon’s dismal 2021/22 season ended without the Welsh region winning a game at home. They won just two games in the regular URC season and lost every game of the Challenge Cup in the Europe.

Not a surprise. My concern is that Dai Flan is hardly a proven coach. We have some decent players but we need a better management team than the shambles that has been there for far too long.

Happy to get that 'new coach' performance boost. Looks like Deano really lost the room a season ago. Onwards and upwards.
But yeah, need a proper structure in place and not just grasping at straws.
Didn't get to watch much Dragons last season as it is not on in Canada much, but always seemed to be a lack of a gameplan or direction on field
