Not appearing for Worcester - Ted Hill and Fin Smith are both recovering from injuries, Kyle Hatherall is working on his move away and is unavailable for selection - can't really blame him.

What an occasion. Highlights here and worth a watch just for the joy in it: https://youtu.be/_82LM7BRaew. Just gotta hope the Euromillions winner takes pity on them, cause I don't see any other escape.

Embarrassment for Newcastle though. I know they're still missing half their back row, but that was a solid clumping.

Big knock back for Newcastle. They have looked like they've been trying to play some better rugby recently but their defence is just too poor for this level. Promoting internally was probably not a good move on that front.

In fairness to Walder, his squad quality is a notable step down from everyone else in the league. They're surely not spending up to the cap or, if they are, they're getting royally fleeced by a few players.

According to DT, the premises will not be insured from 5pm tomorrow and the caretaker is to be evicted from his accommodation. That sounds terminal. It makes me wonder if there is some sort of conspiracy to make a profit from redeveloping the site. Somehow, the speed/extent of the rugby club's demise is too bizarre to be just financial bad management. It is real nasty-taste territory.

It does feel like the cowboys have been up to no good and are now trying to escape Dodge with their ill gotten gains. The local MP and council have already said they'll actively fight any proposed planning on former Worcester Rugby owned land so the cowboys might have to play a long game. Something very dodgy has gone on there. Hopefully the liquidators can hold the relevant parties to account.

It's why I think Wuss needs to go to the administrator - harsh though that is for the cub itself, it means that the asset stripping can be reversed, and the shysters investigated and potentially prosecuted

It is and having their international midfield away with Argentina doesn't help. There's more quality there then to go down like that at Worcester though. Some of the decision making is odd as well, why give Wilson the defensive coaching position? Deano has just come off the wage budget there's surely enough extra cash to stretch to someone who's done the defensive gig previously. You don't need a star studded team to have a mean defence. Work rate and line speed are things to coach not genetic blessings.

It's a lower half of the league team but I don't know why Josh Barton one of their best players from the first two weeks remained on the bench for so long. He looks a Championship gem signing. Three locks and half decent props should mean they have a set piece that functions against most sides in that set up. They could have and should have been able to offer more resistance than a second half collapse.

Its a poor result but i wonder if they concluded that the result wasnt going to mean anything as Wuss will go into administration.
But fair play to Wuss for delivering a good result. The players and staff have deserved more from those running the club but you cant fault the effort they've put in on the field.
