Interesting that Quins aren't using this as Baxter's rest week whilst Marler is still here.

Bound to be entertaining but feel that Bristol hard hit by missing Randall, Genge and Batley,

Still seems to be something between him and Harding.

That was class. Rarely see those come off so perfectly.

They looked at the wrong forward pass there. Return to BJVR looked forward.

Class player but I couldn’t bear seeing that hair in an England shirt. He should be on some sort of register for that.

Marler exit was strange and abrupt. Oh well. He just looks so completely done.

I feel like about half our players have tried that Sleightholme trick and screwed it up.

Ibitoye is so entertaining with the ball but I just don’t think I could trust him in an England shirt. Odd choice if MOTM.

Murley had one to forget though. Some good moments but too many errors. Looked to be forcing things a bit.

Northmore played well at 12. I’m curious if there was much chat with England about him being a full-time 12 for Quins with Anyanwu off and challenging for England in that position. Seems more realistic if he’s ever to get a shot.

If Ibitoye continues like this, we have to have a look at him in the summer. Can’t see Borthers allowing him to play wherever he seems to want though. Ravouvou was on the wing far more than he was…

I don’t see how he fits in with Borthwick at all, or any more than someone like Radwan does.

Healey effusing over Ibitoye was weird. Yes, he's a good player, but who are you planning on dropping to get him into that England team? Notwithstanding that I don't think you could play him alongside IFW, as they look for work in the midfield in very similar places and I think they'd get in each others' ways, and even if you're putting Freeman at centre to open a spot, he'd still need to get past Sleightholme and Roebuck, both of whom are currently better. It's not like we're ignoring him in favour of Nowell, Austin!

Agreed that Northmore's only hope of regular England recognition would come from being a full-time 12. Would be interested to see him commit to that role for a season and see what that looked like.

Didn't expect a beating like that at home. Resting Marcus probably the biggest difference.

Looked like he was trying to get himself sent off so they took him off to spare the embarrassment. Ah well great player, I will miss him.

Bristol were sensationally good at times. Some cracking tries and passages of great interplay between backs and forwards. Hugely enjoyable.
Really impressed with Joe Owen, who looks to be a real athlete with great hands. This lad is worth keeping an eye on. Harding was again terrific.
Ibitoye is probably the form English winger. He does have a lot of competition for a place but his play right now is at a very high level. Borthwick kind of player? Maybe not.
Marler went through the motions i felt. Some player at his best.

Far too quick, skilful and willing to play heads up rugby and think on his feet. :)

He said so afterwards- he wanted to quit after the previous according to his interview.
