Do you mean Sheedy? he's not in the squad, perhaps Jarrod Evans? I think the pack you've picked could be competitive, we need some size v England I reckon. Tom Rogers is going to be a loss, that leaves us with Hathaway I suppose.

Or Adams.

But I think I’d prefer a younger player who is up for it

Actually Adams is out injured so that’s not going to happen. Most likely Hathaway then out of the current squad

I would still keep the same front 3. I have loved having a reliable lineout and scrum for a change. Dee definitely has not put a foot wrong. But as long as Lake's darts are up to it, no issue with the swap

Would definitely like to start with Jarrod. Different dimension when he was brought on

Defense was ropey, but think the early loss of Rogers impacted alignments. Who else is there as a wing

Me too. I think the pace of the game got to John and he reacted poorly. He wasn’t alone. Different game entirely this weekend and I want stronger scrummagers than Asserati taking part.

Hathaway is the only fit wing left in the squad, unless they want to push Llewellyn out to the wing and play Joe Roberts at 13.

It's definitely an option since Llewellyn's been pretty effective on the wing for Gloucester.

Another option would be Anscombe at full back and Murray to the wing.

Or really throw the dice (out the window) and call up Bowen from the U20s :D

I don't like the thought of Anscombe at fullback, I don't think he can cover the ground quickly enough any more, having said that I would prefer a taller fullback than Murray, Mee and Hathaway can both play 15 so maybe one of those two, Bowen's time will come, that break he made last Friday was brilliant.

Anscombe at FB isn’t my idea of a fun afternoon. Nor am I a fan of moving Llewelyn out since he has been effective at 13 on the whole and I think he and Ben Thomas need to build that partnership. Since we have a winger on the squad I’d for for Hathaway then and pray our back three have plenty of defence work time before the game.

TBF if our forwards are as passive as they were in the first half against Scotland it almost doesn’t matter, even the best defending backs will cough up points if the opposition fly half is getting such an arm chair ride

If we had a genuine chance of third place or a sneaky second, then Anscombe all the way. But no. So Jarrod Evans is more exciting and risky, but more like the future at 10. Blair has lost out to excellent kicks that beat his height. But he is an excellent open play runner, and England are a little susceptible to that, so he stays at 15 for me. Centres stay. They are threatening to click, so let's keep them there. Mee stays because he looks good in attack, and a chastening lesson from Scotland will stay with him. Roberts or Hathaway on the other wing is a toss-up for me.

Forwards, I agree with the general flow, other than I would keep WillGriff. Daftest move since Wyn Jones in 2010. Yes, But Wyn Jones didn't repeat that and nor will WillGriff. Teddy Williams, Lake and Wainwright to start, but, is it worth holding any of that powder dry to match the England subs when they come on? Probably best to just start the most powerful players and play the rest of your cards as the shit hits the fan.

Jesus Christ. Warren fucking Gatland is telling us which team he'd select for the next game. Just. Fuck. Off.

Show show fucking dignity. Some fucking self-respect. You're gone. You're gone because you were so crap at coaching. So don't try to tell us who to pick for God's sake.

Just piss the fuck off.

Yes they have.

Our great mate Sir Clive Windarse has written that England can and should put sixty points on Wales. A great motivational talk for Sherratt in the dressing room. He usually gets these predictions hopelessly wrong. I seem to remember him making similar claims about England coming to Cardiff and they went home with their tails between their legs.

Damn. And I was going for subtlety :D

Yeah. Look, he's voluntarily given up after being paid a fortune for his unsuccessful team selections so the last thing we need just a couple of weeks later is his team selection.

I’m inclined to agree with you. I have a lot of respect for depend for his first stint. But right now we don’t need an ex coach throwing their thoughts into the ring, particularly one who has led us to an unprecedented losing run. If I were him I’d just shut up for the time being.

Out of interest, who did he select? Does he stick to his guns or has he conceded that voluntarily not selecting a fly-half might've been a tactical error?

No, he said he’d continue picking the same sort of team as he did before.

Then, through whatever incredible feat of exploitative journalism went on, managed to throw the word ‘woke’ in there when talking about how the players aren’t tough or resilient enough.

To be fair Murray is a great find at FB. Yes, he is small, but he's fast, has great footwork and is actually quite powerful in contact. Always surprised at the ground he makes. Just the bloke to carve up England.

I didn't read that far. At this point it's like taking Liz Truss's advice on running the economy.

Yeah, what he certainly didn't do was make the slightest suggestion that he made mistakes. It was all other people's fault - Welsh rugby, soft, woke players, negativity inside and outside the camp. In the end he had to selflessly walk away - despite having done nothing wrong - in order to 'take pressure off' everyone else (which is a strange way of describing quitting and leaving the Wales team to suffer their inevitable 15th successive loss. Nothing to do with each successive game making Gatland's CV look worse and having no clue about how to turn it round). Yet again he made his old excuse about everything being about building for the world cup - who cares about losing tests and £millions now? - despite a confused strategy where he used older players like Liam Wiheiams, Anscombe, Rowlands and Faletau.

Pathetic, and no-one has even mentioned the actual fucking team, no wonder this board is like a ghost town.
