As good a striker as anyone when he wanted to be.
Not a nice way to pass on, it will get a full investigation I'm sure.

"They need to, as soon as they deploy a Taser, they need to deploy an ambulance. As soon as, it should be mandatory."
They can ask. It'll be low priority though. I mean it's not as if we don't have enough to do any without going somewhere on the off chance someone might get hurt.

The guy certainly had his problems . I read that police were summoned after Atkinson assaulted his 85 year old father . Atkinson had weekly treatment for potential kidney failure and suffered with liver damage . He'd been helped out financially by the PFA since his retirement .
No way to go of course but his life and health appeared to be pretty miserable .
Two police officers have been suspended on possible criminal charges relating to his death .

Some of the details of this incident seem extremely disturbing.
A middle aged man undergoing dialysis at the time - carrying no weapons it seems, but apparently acting in an extremely frightening and threatening manner.
The officers intervening may have saved a life, but what unfolded sounds out of control and ended tragically.

Not sure he was a middle aged man, he remained in many ways something of a juvenile, arguably even a juvenile delinquent. It's very sad, but he's not blameless for many of the issues he faced

Blame for his death following this incident has been attributed to one of the officers it seems:

From the basics of what has been reported manslaughter seems to be the right decision.Galfon wrote:Blame for his death following this incident has been attributed to one of the officers it seems:

Well Dalian is hardly the only bad apple, though I don't have a problem giving stick to the recently departedPuja wrote:Good news, everyone! We've found the one bad apple!Galfon wrote:Blame for his death following this incident has been attributed to one of the officers it seems:
