He never once ventured onto one of the English, Welsh, Scottish or Irish boards in over 10 000 posts.

That is how unappealing the British Isles are.

Will there be consistency in this area, Mells for instance continually posts about Bedford, and I ask you, who could possibly be interested in that?
Have you heard how the entire squad had a sickness bug last week but the RFU refused postponement of the match?

That has more relevance on the novichok thread than Bedford on the rugby thread

Apparently there were two gay Russian men at training earlier in the week trying to flog the players bodybuilding supplements.

Yep, but I’m not sure whether it’s a British or Italian restaurant.

Did you know, I once took a train from Portugal to Croatia, and beer once saw a mountain. It's definitive proof that there are no mountains in Europe!

Does the Croatian rugby team have a nickname? Like Os Lobos or the Thistle?

My colleagues are all post-doctoral orologists and I showed them this post at the water cooler this morning. We laughed until we shat because we live near a mountain and know everything there is to know about mountains; and certainly a good deal more than someone who has never been to a mountain or even read a book or an online article about a mountain. I once watched a programme on RT about a mountain (Just before the Turks managed to lose my remote control) (Or it might have been about some teenage girl with massive tits). The genocidal Americans did it.

6/10. You lose marks for not pointing out that if there are any mountains in Europe they would be pro-Israel & anti-Palestinian cos

That has got to be a hall of fame-worthy moment of utter stupidity.

There must have been a point where he'd realised he'd grabbed the wrong end of the stick, but because he chose to double down, what he was grasping on to ceased to even be the proverbial stick, regardless of which end he'd grabbed, and had become something else already.

We should thank our lucky stars a Turkish kebab house wasn't involved...

That said, it would be the perfect cover story, and is probably just the kinda thing Putin would do.

If only someone here knew about Turkish cuisine and all other aspects of Turkish life...
