Are you saying that because you watched it or is that just a general opinion of him? I assumed Racing still had a monster pack? I suppose with the French league it could well be a monster pack, but still not a good one.

Well I'm probably a bit harsh. The game in France is managed by the Scrum half, and Finn doesn't get much ball. He got the motm award for this game because he did a few neat tricks and no one else really shone.

Their pack got demolished a few times in top 14 and they are struggling in rucks. They do have a few injuries though.

Well we wouldn't want him getting too used to either forward dominance or a scrum-half that's actually willing to give the ball quickly/regularly.

No Graham or Vellacott in the England squad so remain technically Scots abroad. Of course Graham will always be a scot abroad.

Chib Thomson playing well for Scarlets from when I’ve flicked over to watch it. He did manage to drop the ball over the line, but had a couple of Leicester players on his back at the time, so I’ll let him off.

Listening to Newcastle against Montpellier on the radio and apparently Jonny Williams is Scots qualified. Anyone know if true?

If it is we should cap him immediately as the long term heir to Dunbar before England get there.

Yep, people on the EMB are already concerned about this (and EJ not spotting) so that's probably a good sign.

I didn't know that. If that's true he should be in the squad ahead of Scott based on this season. He looks very good.

Has Scott not been up to it? I’ve only seen highlights and he’s often looked quite heavily involved, but that’s. E problem with highlights. This really would have been his chance to demand selection at 12 again with Dunbar/Horne/Grigg so inconsistent and Taylor injures.

Williams seems to offer a big threat up the middle which is something (I may have mentioned a few 100 times) we could really do with.

Tbf Scott looked quite handy yesterday. Good to see him getting back into some form. Meanwhile in the west, Huw Jones is now playing for Weeg the way we’ve seen him operate for Scotland

Sort of like Hogg a few years back, he’s too lethal in attack to even consider ditching, but really seems to lose concentration at times. He’ll be world class if he can iron that out.

Interesting to see Jake Kerr on the bench for Leicester. Heard really positive things about him.
