I've always thought that. There is a culture of "No, I'm fine, I can tough it out and walk off myself" (it was a mark of how bad Ford's injury was that he even allowed himself to be helped), and it surely exacerbates injuries. Needs changing.

Agreed but is there/will there be any free to air TV? Without getting into political debate, will the BBC/licence fee situation continue or will everything switch to a form of pay-per-view? I just hope the rugby authorities keep everything under review rather than just short-term cash benefits.

I'd expect fairly normal. Plenty of people might skip the pre or post match sections of the show or knowing it was close tune in for the final twenty minutes etc. I don't know the rugby detail but when I've seen TV coverage numbers previously there's normally a jump from average to peak viewers.

Agree about the free to air aspect and the impact of the new chairman. It's the right way to go about it. Rugby is a niche sport, it's not football, we need to make it more available to people to pull them in.

Tinds on his podcast made a good point about the Baabaas game on Sunday. Top tiers of Twickers not open, why were those tickets not given to community sports clubs? Why not have deals through grassroots clubs where when the club buys them you get two free children's tickets for every adult. Pack the place out. RFU missed a chance there.
