Weird reflex hitch kick from Smith there before he caught the ball.

He did alright until that first carry, not something he'll be looking forward to on the review on Monday. Got his revenge with a rip on the near touchline.

Break from Steward was excellent. We needed something to lift the confidence a bit and hopefully that should do it.

Fullback 1v1 with a forward, I’d hope he’d beat him. Great intent, though, even if I had to check I didn’t have Prime on x0.5 speed.
Porters plodding feet in d exposed once again.

No clear release is a strange way to describe the most blatant professional foul in the history of the game.

About as obvious a binning as you're ever going to see for May.

Great clear out from Farrell. Natural blindside.

Didn't see the plodding feet.

Steward does the the forward, then a back and then rides the contact and offloads to support. Don't know what's not to like when your 15 does that to setup a try.

Thought Simmonds had butchered that for a second.

Tiger striped spectacles steamed up?

As I said, it was good intent but it’s regulation stuff, not excellent, from a test 15

Poor old Japan - their inability to scrummage has made this a no contest. Plus a few sloppy mistakes thrown for good measure.

What is the matter with Itoje? That penalty for playing it off the ground was plain stupid but he isn't. It might not matter in this game but that's no excuse,

always said steward was rapid :)

Not bad, apart from more dumbass penalties, and some sort of kicking Tourettes in attack. And missing a ton of tackles :). And the lineout. Good finishing though.

Banquo, am i seeing things right? All the good bits of play are effectively with Farrell at FH and Smith at IC.

three stupid pens and a cynical one. I do despair at the collective amoebic brain power.

Its how Smith was used when he first came in- loops early, gets missed and then distributes. Not sure better defences would be fooled tho- first try was very soft, even if it was a great line from Steward.

Ribbans has looked the part- old school hard second row.
