I thought the sage advert said a lot about business analytics stuff, hearing the same old numbers every week to the point of boredom, often presented with spurious/irrelevant levels of accuracy, and sometimes quoting statistics which were made up not because of any relevance to the bigger picture but just because someone was poking about and found something a bit random (they've dominated 82% of ruck in their own half or whatever)

The irony that Sage a company with a lumbering out of date piece of bookkeeping software that is desperately trying to hold on to the coattails of more innovative systems was not lost on me.

I hope their data analytics offering isn't as behind the times.

Yep, they are really behind the curve. Sage would be stuffed (see what I did there) but for their legacy base who they milk unmercifully.
