agreed. Allowing Putin to win under the threat of nuclear annihilation makes it very hard to stand up to him in the future. Russia started this fight, I have no issue with allowing Ukraine to win without undue constraints being placed on how weapons are used (noting the need for keeping to international law).

I think Macron has figured this out too. Took some time, but he seems to be getting there.

It was the fact that the Russian spokesman described it as a "provocation" that got me. Oh yeah, Ukraine had better look out with those provocations; Russia might invade them or bomb their cities!

Sure, it makes a show of lashing out sometimes (like firing a flurry of missiles) but those are just things it was going to do anyway - they shouldn't make the Ukrainians or us falter.
