It's certainly livened up over the past 3 or 4 rounds.

Wow...Frampton is hanging on now.

Final round coming up. I think Quigg could take this.

Gonna be hard to call as the early rounds, best described as a 'phoney war' make it hard to call. Nothing happened of note for so long then it burst to life. Since then, Quigg has been the better fighter.

Both fighters embrace on the final bell. For all the pre-fight bullshit, it has been rather civil in the ring. No aggro, stares or dirty looks on any bells. Both fighters were straight back in their corners.

Hard to call but only because of the quiet first half of the fight. Quigg won since then but if Frampton got the nod on the early rounds, it's gonna be close.

If I paid for this, I'd be tempted for ask for half of my money back as it was only half a fight.

Here we go...

5 live had it as Frampton by a distace, who duly wins.

Frampton wins on a split.

Harsh on Quigg.

It's a conspi....

I think 'by a distance' is harsh. Nothing of note happened in the first half of the fight. Quigg landed some nice shots in the second half and took quite a few rounds.

Perhaps the difference was Frampton looking more on the front foot in the first few rounds without actually landing anything.

Ended up pished and fell asleep after round 4.

By the sounds of it there wont be a rematch yet. Quigg is likely to be out for a while post surgery anyway.

Frampton was clearly the victor, Gallacher shold be shot for his efforts in Quigg's corner, how the hell can you not bother to try and throw punches for the first 6 rounds and expect to draw them under the assumption that neither fighter had done enough to win the round.

I thought it was harsh in the sense that once things got going, Quigg looked the better but as you quite rightly pointed out, he did fwck all for the first half of the fight. Frampton did slightly more than nothing in those rounds so won them by default, but it made for a terrible first half.

Agreed, if Quigg had come out with the same attitude as he had for the second half of the fight he would have won by 2-3 rounds, what his corner were thinking, letting him get into that position, I don't know

The trainer better pull his finger out to make sure our boy CSmith doesn't suffer poor advice!!

Yeah, hopefully Callum will see to it that the fight doesn't go to far tho the Frenchman is durable.

Few thoughts:
1. Hopefully Blackwell pulls through.
2. Classy of Senior to tell Junior to take him out with body shots rather than head shots.
3. Brook badly needs a step up in class. I expect him to lose at the top level but he deserves a chance (and payday).

What did you make of Blackwell's corner? I'm not sure Gary Lockett was paying too much attention to the fighter, when he was telling him "this is your chance" Blackwell looked like he wasn't hearing him, at least he wasn't responding. Harsh on Lockett tho as when fighters get to that stage of a fight they're often too tired to speak, I would have expected him to at least look at his trainer tho, I suppose that's what the doctor should be looking at between rounds.

Good news is Blackwell is supposed to be woken from his coma this afternoon.

I agree that the Eubanks have done themselves some credit with how they have reacted to this.

The corner is there to look after the fighter as much as they are to coach him. I feel they let him down. "This is your chance" ?!?! Fuck off he had NO CHANCE and looked absolutely fucked from about the 6th imo. In that situation they should lose the macho bullshit and pull the fighter.

Very tough to be in that corner given the way the fight was going. But that's what they are there for. I have heard corners say "show me something or I am pulling you out" but I didn't hear anything like that from Lockett (although I wasn't fully focused on the fight). I haven't read anything to suggest Lockett was thinking about pulling him out. Not that he will be thinking of much except Blackwell.

I do hope Senior doesn't put a dampener on any killer instinct Junior has though. He'll need it to get up to world level.

Aye, on Sky Sports, looking forward to this one. Did you see Nigel Benn's lad is fighting at Super-Lightweight on the undercard of the Joshua fight the week after?

Yeah, he looks like a big super lightweight from the pics I saw. Thankfully a lot younger and lighter than Eubank Jnr. Wouldn't have been good for either to have the prospect of an eventual "Benn V Eubank" fight way on the horizon.

The 1st fight on the TV show was decent.

Smith was impressive again. Perhaps needs to move better in front of his man when taking punches but the kid is possibly Britain's most exciting talent.

That first fihgt reminded me of Hagler v Hearns but in miniature.

Smith continues to impress, I can't see JAck having a hope in hell against him tbh.
